Item Sensitivity Control is a lightweight client-side Fabric mod that dynamically adjusts your mouse sensitivity based on the item you are currently holding.
Instead of using a single global sensitivity, this mod allows you to define custom sensitivity values for different items. This enables precise control during combat, building, or utility actions without constantly changing settings manually.
For example:
Lower sensitivity for swords to improve PvP accuracy Even lower sensitivity for bows to increase precision Higher sensitivity for blocks or movement items for faster turns
The mod automatically detects the currently held item in the main hand and applies the corresponding sensitivity instantly. If no custom value is set, it safely falls back to your default sensitivity.
🔧 Features Per-item mouse sensitivity settings Automatic real-time switching Clean and simple in-game configuration menu “Add current item” functionality for fast setup JSON-based config system (persistent across sessions) Optional HUD display showing active sensitivity 🎯 Why this mod?
Minecraft uses a single sensitivity for all situations — which is suboptimal for players who need precision in some scenarios and speed in others. This mod removes that limitation and gives you full control.
💡 Technical Client-side only (no server required) Built for Fabric 1.21.11 Lightweight and performance-friendly
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
