New Features
- New River Tool: draw a path of points and it carves the channel, shapes the banks, fills the water and scatters blueprints along it
- New Biome Brush plant layer: one whole plant per column, drawn from a weighted set of Minecraft's 95 plants
- Biome Brush Export .layer and Import .layer: a biome goes out as a WorldPainter custom layer and comes back as one, its blueprints with it
- An X, Y, Z offset per blueprint in a scatter, so a tree whose blueprint carries its roots can sit lower than one that starts at its trunk
- New Blueprint To Path Clip To Ground: every blueprint drops or rises onto the ground under it instead of being stretched down like Extend To Ground
- New Blueprint To Path Random Spacing: Distance becomes a min/max range and each blueprint picks its own gap inside it
- New Blueprint To Path Place mode: set it to Deferred and every blueprint along the path arrives with a gizmo of its own to move and turn it by, with the blocks waiting for a second confirm, the way Axiom's Stamp tool already offers
- Blueprint To Path and River Tool presets: the settings and the blueprint set, saved and reloaded in one click. The points are not stored, a path belonging to the place it was drawn
Changes
- The DBTools toolbar icons are redrawn: each now shows what the tool does to something rather than naming the something, and the set shares one pen, one advance and one box, so the icons are evenly sized and spaced next to each other
- The icon font is generated from tools/icons rather than drawn by hand, so a weight or a proportion can be changed across the whole set at once
- The Prototype Tool's mode icons are drawn in the same pen as the rest. They were the last of the old set
- OBJ to MC is now 3D to MC. It has read GLTF, PLY and STL as well as OBJ for a while, and the name said otherwise
- Each blueprint in a scatter is its own collapsible row, so a long set no longer pushes the layer's own spacing and strength off the bottom of the panel
- Object layers now have a destination in the WorldPainter export instead of being skipped
- Plant layers go both ways with WorldPainter's own Plants layer, weights included
- A WorldPainter mixed material's mode now carries across: Noise arrives as independent per-block picks and Blobs as patches of WorldPainter's own size, instead of everything taking Axiom's default noise
- Both directions report what they could not carry across, density included: WorldPainter rolls one density percentage where the Biome Brush has a strength and a minimum spacing, so a biome taken across and back lands close rather than exact
Bugfixes
- Fast Place places at full speed again on Axiom 6.1.3 - a regression there let one placement through every fifth tick, leaving holes in a dragged line
- Import .layer now reads a layer saved on its own, not only one combined into a biome
- Text with a percent sign in it prints properly - ImGui's wrapped and dimmed text were handing the string to C's formatter as the format itself, so an import warning reading "20% dense" came out as "20 0ense"
- An imported object layer no longer arrives with a Min Spacing of 7%, or 4% for a set of the widest trees. WorldPainter's density goes to the Strength Factor instead, and Min Spacing keeps the 100% a new layer starts at
- Undoing a Blueprint To Path placement keeps the blueprints. It used to empty the set along with the points, so every undo was followed by picking the same blueprints out of the browser again
- Undoing a Blueprint To Path or River placement no longer comes back with every point selected at once
- The line between the points no longer survives the placement, in either tool
- Blueprint To Path's Paste Blueprints button now clears the path, the way Enter already did, instead of leaving the points and their ghosted preview sitting on top of the blocks just written from them
- A level pools river no longer steps once more at its last point, which read as the river stopping at a lip
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
