Changes
DeepNull Reforged 4.0.0
This release rolls up everything since 3.1.4 into the first full 4.0.0 feature line for 1.21.1.
Documentation and GuideME
- Rebuilt the in-game GuideME documentation into a real page tree with dedicated pages for Nulls, upgrades, items, controls, automation, and config settings.
- Reworked the GitHub wiki to match the in-game docs more closely, with better structure, per-item pages, upgrade pages, and refreshed screenshots.
- Added expanded config/settings documentation so pack makers and players can understand what the new options actually do.
Null Workbench
- Added the Null Workbench as a dedicated station for crafting, syncing, and styling Nulls.
- Added cheaper workbench crafting paths for DeepNulls, DampNulls, and related components.
- Added JEI integration for workbench recipes and recipe transfer support.
- Added automation support for the workbench crafting side.
- Added working sync/copy/restore flows with output-slot behavior and progress bars.
Styling and Synchronization
- Added the Synchronizer item for copying and restoring Null configuration.
- Added a styling system for recoloring frame and glass independently while keeping normal tier defaults until a user actually customizes them.
- Added support for resetting styles back to normal defaults.
- Added a few hidden style interactions for players who experiment with the styling inputs.
New Items and Upgrades
- Added Stone Generator, Obsidian Generator, Sponge Upgrade, Stoneworks Upgrade, Chemical Upgrade, Ender Upgrade, Ender Upgrade Core, Synchronizer, and Null Workbench support/content.
- Added crafting recipes, JEI visibility, placeholder/support art updates, and updated item documentation for the new content.
DeepNull and DampNull Improvements
- Fixed refill/transfer behavior so DeepNulls and DampNulls only pull matching stored types instead of grabbing anything available.
- Applied the same refill restriction to AE2 transfer behavior.
- Added optional Mekanism chemical support for DampNulls, including Chemical Upgrade gating and chemical transfer/storage support.
- Added new generator and automation behaviors for DampNulls, including docked output handling.
- Expanded DeepNull automation and Stoneworks behavior, including custom extraction minimums and monitoring controls.
UI, Config, and QoL
- Added broader config coverage for client/common/server settings, including invert DampNull behavior and multiple per-feature toggles.
- Added more keybind-driven toggles and behavior controls.
- Improved item/tooltips, compact count formatting, and multiple workbench/Null UI alignment and usability fixes.
- Added 3D item renders for workbench/dock-style items where appropriate.
Art and Visual Updates
- Refreshed multiple item textures, placeholders, buttons, screens, and GuideME/wiki imagery.
- Added support for better grayscale mask-based coloring so styled Nulls hold up better visually.
- Continued polish on Docking Station, Null Workbench, and style-tab visuals.
Fixes
- Large batch of fixes across GuideME links, workbench syncing, menu routing, transfer rules, rendering, UI alignment, saved data migration, and recipe visibility.
- Fixed multiple regressions in DeepNull/DampNull rendering and workbench behavior while bringing the new systems online.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
