This mod mainly adds a new Diamond Upgrade Smithing Template, that you need to upgrade Iron tools to Diamond ones in the Smithing Table. It's meant to be used alongside Progression Reborn to make the one tool you make as Copper stay with you through to Netherite; both to slow down the upgrade progression, and also to let you get more attached to your individual tools.

This mod also has some compatability stuff for Progression Reborn:

Copper Age Backport: Lets you use the Copper Age Backport copper tools to upgrade to Iron instead of the ones added by Progression Reborn. Backported Spears: Backports the Rose Spear from future versions of Progression Reborn, alongside changing the handle on the Iron Spear to match the other iron tools.
