Changes
Diorama 0.4.0 adds a round minimap and faces for modded mobs, and fixes two crashes and a map mix-up between worlds.
New
- Round minimap. Settings > Minimap > Shape: Square or Round. Square stays the default.
- Faces for more mobs on the radar. Mobs Diorama has no hand-drawn face for, modded or vanilla, now mostly get a face read off their own model instead of a dot.
- Xaero's Minimap icon packs. Resource packs in Xaero's radar icon format change the radar icons on Diorama's map too.
- Copycats in their material's colours. Filled Create and Copycats+ copycat blocks draw as the block they copy, in their own shape.
Fixes
- With GPU baking on, Minecraft 1.20.5 to 1.21.11 could close with no crash report. A bug in Java 21.0.7, the version Minecraft's launcher ships, crashed while compiling part of the GPU baker. Diorama now avoids the code that triggers it.
- A new world with the same name as one you deleted no longer shows the deleted world's map and waypoints. Worlds that already show both stay that way.
- Fixed a crash ("Image is not allocated") rebuilding block colours after a resource reload.
- GPU baking no longer turns itself off because of an OpenGL error another mod left behind.
- Copycats+ blocks no longer draw bright purple on the map.
- The minimap hides while the F3 debug screen is open, instead of covering it.
- The radar draws mob icons in a few batches, so a mob farm on the map no longer drops the frame rate.
Choose the file for your Minecraft version and loader. Fabric requires Fabric API; NeoForge does not.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
