Changes
DMZ Ragnarok 1.1.353
Less lag, fewer login timeouts, a working task board, and the tank class is finally gone.
Lag and timeouts
- Killing spawner mobs no longer freezes the server. Every spawner kill paid its Zeni reward by waiting on the network database before the server could carry on. When lots of mobs died at once the whole server stalled, which is where most of the long lag spikes and failed logins on the open world servers came from. Rewards are now shown instantly and saved in the background.
- Slow joins get two minutes instead of thirty seconds. Joining for the first time, or switching servers, makes your game process the whole mod handshake, and on a slower PC that could take longer than the old limit and drop you with "took too long to log in". You now have much longer to finish loading.
Task board
- Accept, abandon, claim and reroll work again. The board opened and showed your tasks, but for anyone who was not an operator every button was silently ignored.
Classes and characters
- The tank class is gone for good. It kept coming back because any character still set to tank quietly re-added it. It no longer appears in the class picker or
/dmzclass, and characters that were tank become Berserker the next time they log in, keeping their stat gains. - Switching character slots no longer mixes hair. The new character's hairstyle could be drawn on top of the old one's, so strands from one character showed up on the other.
- Extra protection for your character slots when moving between servers: an incomplete save can no longer overwrite your active character.
Death, the Otherworld and sparring
- Dying on one server and arriving in the Otherworld on another no longer drops you from the sky. You now land on King Yemma's platform, the same place a death on a single server sends you.
- Losing a spar no longer costs your inventory. A spar is not meant to be deadly, but a knockout could empty your inventory into a grave that was never handed back.
- Game rules are the same on every server, including keeping part of your inventory on death, ki griefing and terrain regeneration (master structures stay protected).
Ki attacks
- Large ki balls have a maximum size of 15.
Kits, portals and staff
- Kit rank locks stay the way they were set. Other servers kept an old copy of every kit and saved it back, so a kit locked to certain ranks kept reverting to open. Locking a kit to a group that does not exist is now refused instead of silently saved.
- Portals that send you to spawn work again, even when no custom spawn point has been set.
- Staff have a weekly on-duty goal. Staff can see their progress for the week when they clock in, clock out or check their status, and senior staff are told on login who missed the previous week's goal.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
