1.19.1 - 25th August 2026 The Dynamic Update II (ft. 旺旺 🕯️🦴🎹)
Developer's Note: This update means a great deal to us. Not only does it significantly breathe more life into the dogs, but we are also dedicating this release to WangWang — a mother dog whose story inspired the world. Because DTN is fundamentally about celebrating the bond between humans and canines, we wanted to build a permanent sanctuary for a mother who fought valiantly for her own. Here, players can finally give her the love and care she was denied in the waking world. 🌸
A Tribute to WangWang (旺旺)
"O benevolent mother, you fought bravely to protect your own. Now lay down your burdens and let the origin of all that's good and mother to us all (Ya big furball!) embrace you in her maternal warmth and guide you to a place where the sun never sets on you or your children."
-
Added 1 model and 2 skins of WangWang. These skins are fully compatible with model accessories.
-
Added WangWang to Doggy Spin World Load Icon.
-
Added "Wang Wang" and "旺旺" to Random Name pool. ======= Major Dog Animation Overhaul!
Your dogs now move and interact with the world in a drastically smoother, more fluid, and lively way. They now ask for belly rubs, sniff around, stretch, and get petted... with more style!
-
New Animation State Machine & Blending Mechanic: Transitions between procedural movement states and keyframe animations are now significantly smoother, greatly reducing visual snapping.
-
Dog Anim Debug Item: Now allows freezing of headYRot, headXRot, banking, and tailXRot for better posing scene setups. =======
UI Fix (Dog GUI > Style > Skins > Show Info View):
Shifted the info scroll view downward slightly to prevent overlapping with the search field.
Added new names and cleaned up the Random Name Registry (names.json).
Localization: Temporarily removed the French (fr_fr.json) localization. The previous translation
contained heavy slang and terminology that did not match the mod's intended tone; a fresh translation will be required in the future.
Clean up:
- Skins: Reorganized skin.json, removed some skins, and removed the otter model.
- Accessories & Items: Disabled several trivial pop culture references, accessories and items for now. =======
- Fixed a visual animation desync/skipping issue caused by batched latency updates.
- Fixed old data parsed models persisting after a resource reload instead of invalidating correctly.
- Fixed potential animation blending bug caused by radians vs. degrees mismatch.
- Fixed back leg unnecessarily lifting up in neutral sniff animation.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
