Changes
This release adds Minecraft 26.2 support and improves configuration safety, Fabric gameplay permissions, door interactions, and the update checker on both platforms.
✨ New Features & Changes
- ✅ Minecraft 26.2 Support - Updated both the Fabric/Quilt mod and Paper/Purpur/Folia plugin for Minecraft 26.2.
- ✅ Safer Fabric Configuration - Invalid configuration files are left untouched, and failed reloads preserve the previous settings. Valid configurations retain their comments and extra keys.
- ✅ Safe Legacy Configuration Migration - Legacy
.propertiesfiles are converted without deleting the original. Previously renamed properties files are backed up before recovery. - ✅ Fabric Gameplay Permissions - Double doors, knocking, iron doors, and iron trapdoors now respect permission grants and denials, including explicit denials for operators.
- ✅ Reliable Double Door Interactions - Fabric double doors synchronize only after successful block use, respecting canceled interactions and sneaking item use. Double-door auto-close also respects the permission decision made when opening the door.
- ✅ Knocking Behavior Fixes - Fabric knocking is restricted to survival and adventure mode, and the configured knocking sound category is now loaded correctly.
- ✅ Folia Update Checker Fix - Fixed the startup and recurring update-checker scheduler failures reported in issue #8. Player notifications now use the player's entity scheduler.
- ✅ More Reliable Update Checks - Both platforms select the highest compatible stable Modrinth release for the running Minecraft version and platform. Disabled checks make no requests, and reloads and shutdown clean up polling.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
