Changes
Downed Gun Lock v1.2.0
This update adds configurable no-shooting zones for Vic's Point Blank weapons.
Administrators can select two positions, similar to WorldEdit, and create an area where players cannot fire their guns.
Changes
- Added cuboid no-shooting zones
- Added a dedicated golden axe for selecting two positions
- Added support for multiple zones and multiple dimensions
- Zone data is automatically saved to the world
- Both standard and physical projectiles are rejected server-side
- Full-auto firing stops immediately when entering a restricted zone
- Added particle previews for zone boundaries
- Added support for zone names containing Japanese and other non-ASCII characters
Only gunfire is restricted inside these zones. Players can still use ADS, reload, change firing modes, manage attachments, and throw grenades or other throwable items.
Commands
/gunlock wand
/gunlock pos1
/gunlock pos2
/gunlock create <zone_name>
/gunlock redefine <zone_name>
/gunlock delete <zone_name>
/gunlock list
/gunlock info <zone_name>
/gunlock show <zone_name>
/gunlock help
Use /gunlock wand to obtain the zone-selection tool.
- Left-click to select position 1
- Right-click to select position 2
- Use
/gunlock create <zone_name>to register the selected area
Administrator commands require permission level 2 or higher.
Restriction Behavior
- Firing is blocked when the shooter's feet are inside a restricted zone
- Shooting from inside a zone toward the outside is blocked
- Shooting from outside a zone toward the inside is allowed
- Spectators are not restricted
- Creative-mode players and server operators are restricted by default
Important
Downed Gun Lock v1.2.0 must be installed on both the client and server.
This version is not network-compatible with v1.1.x. Clients and servers using different versions will be prevented from connecting.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
