Downed Gun Lock v1.2.1
This update fixes several issues where Vic's Point Blank weapons could continue firing or performing other actions when a player entered the downed state.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where automatic fire could continue after being downed while firing in ADS
- Gun triggers are now continuously released while the player is downed, regardless of the current input state
- Ongoing weapon actions are now immediately cancelled when entering the downed state, including:
- Firing
- Reloading
- Preparing throwable items
- Fixed an issue where a grenade or other throwable item could still be thrown after the player was downed while holding it
- The server now rejects weapon-action packets sent immediately before the player entered the downed state, including:
- Standard projectile firing
- Physical projectile firing
- Throwing
- Starting ADS
- Reloading
- Changing fire modes
- Fixed a possible bypass of the server-side downed check by switching weapons immediately after firing
- ADS release packets are still allowed so that the player's ADS state does not remain visible to other players
Important
Update both the client and server to v1.2.1.
The network protocol remains compatible with v1.2.0, but updating the server is strongly recommended to enable the new server-side firing and throwable restrictions.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
