Dragged's Simulated Tree Chopper
Trees fall over with real physics when you chop them. Drag trunks around with shift-right-click. Pick up a whole fallen tree in one swing. Built for NeoForge 1.21.1 with Sable, HT TreeChop, and an optional integration with Immersive Weathering.

Immersive Weathering is now an optional dependency. The mod loads fine without it. If you want the falling leaf-pile aesthetic, flip
useImmersiveWeatheringLeafPilestotruein the config and install IW: Renewed. -
Felled trees now carry their canopy with them as part of the rigid body. Leaves break on contact with any world block — terrain, neighbour trunks, neighbour leaves, anything solid. This is now the default path and replaces the IW pre-strip. Idea credit: reddit u/eepy_lina.
-
Cutting through a dense forest actually ploughs through the canopy of nearby trees instead of phasing through them.
-
Toppling is more consistent. Default guaranteed-topple speed and spin bumped up so the trunk actually commits to a fall direction; with canopy now attached to the body the old values were not enough to overcome the heavier inertia tensor.
-
Config additions:
treeLeafContactBreakEnabled,treeLeafContactBreaksPerTick,treeLeafContactScanEveryNPhysicsTicks,treeLeafContactMinBodyTranslationBlocks,treeLeafContactMinBodyRotationDegrees,treeLeafContactGracePhysicsTicks,treeAnchorLeafCleanupRadius,useImmersiveWeatheringLeafPiles.
If you're updating from 1.0.2 and the new defaults don't seem to be taking effect, delete config/draggeds_treechopper-common.toml so it regenerates.
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
