Dungeon Descent — Configurable Dungeon Reset Update
This update introduces a complete configuration system and repeatable dungeon challenges.
Dungeon resets Optional automatic dungeon resets, disabled by default. Defeating the Ashen King starts the reset timer. Default reset time: 4 hours of active game time. The timer pauses while the world is closed. Resets wait until every player has left the underground dungeon floors. Players may remain around the surface entrance. Notifications display the remaining time in hours, minutes, and seconds. Messages announce when: The reset timer starts A reset is approaching Players underground are delaying the reset The dungeon has successfully reset
A reset restores only dungeon content:
Chests are recreated if broken and refilled. Spawners are recreated if broken and reactivated. Dungeon bosses respawn in their original arenas. Surviving dungeon enemies and dropped items can be cleared. Walls, floors, decorations, gates, and other modified blocks are not restored. Administrator commands /dungeon reset status — Shows the nearest pending reset and remaining time. /dungeon reset now — Queues the nearest tracked dungeon for an immediate reset. /dungeon reset cancel — Cancels the nearest pending reset. Configurable difficulty Boss health, damage, armor, movement speed, and experience Multiplayer boss scaling Additional boss health and damage per nearby player Regular dungeon enemy health and damage Enemies spawned per wave Total spawner waves Delay between waves Nearby spawner mob limits Configurable rewards Boss fragment drop multiplier Boss Soul reward multiplier Chest loot chance and quantity multipliers Soul Shop price multiplier Ashen King artifact reward count from 1–6
Dungeon keys retain their guaranteed fixed drops and are never affected by the fragment multiplier.
Additional options Enable or disable the Soul Shop Enable or disable dungeon teleporters Configure teleporter cooldown Enable or disable dungeon HUD elements Choose whether notifications are sent to participants, nearby players, or everyone Display the remaining reset time upon entering a defeated dungeon
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
