The train gets cold, and the wind blows the weather

Deep down the line, the ride is getting harsher in two ways.
The train gets cold. Some stretches turn bitterly cold. Out on the roof, a flatbed or a coupling pad, frost creeps over you, just as it does in powder snow. Only a carriage closed in on every side keeps you warm, so step inside to thaw. It starts slow and bites faster the further you have travelled, never quite reaching the cold of powder snow. Leather armour slows the frost: every piece doubles the time you can stay out before it bites.
The wind blows the weather. Where the train's wind blows, the weather feels it too. Rain leans into each gust and swings back as it passes, snow is swept sideways and flies at you when you face into it, and campfire smoke, petals and ash beside the track drift away downwind. Inside a carriage or under cover the air stays still.
The train continues to get harder. Feedback on the balance is welcome.

The wind follows you off the train
The wind no longer stops at the edge of the train. Step down onto the ground and it keeps shoving you about just the same. Walls, tunnels and the train itself still give you shelter when you stand behind them, and it leaves you alone in the water.
- Jump off the train and the wind comes with you.
- Duck behind a wall, or behind the train, and it drops away.

Lighter End islands generation
The End islands crossings now generate each chunk with less work and far less memory churn: the terrain copy no longer builds a wide ring of empty scratch chunks, asks the biome layout once per column instead of once per block row, and skips a cave pass that never carved anything. What you see on the islands is unchanged.
- End islands chunks generate with about a fifth less processing and a quarter of the memory churn
- No change to how the islands look
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
