DynamicSkins 1.1.9 — Forge
Changed
- Expanded the supported Forge version range from
[47.4.16, 47.4.21)to[47.4.0, ∞)to support all Forge 1.20.1 builds.
Fixed
- Fixed a lag spike that occurred when encountering a player with a custom skin after being out of tracking range. The game thread was previously blocking the render thread to decode PNG textures; decoding now happens on the game thread and only the resulting image is handed off to the render thread.
- Fixed skin textures being re-uploaded to the GPU every time a player re-entered tracking range. Textures are now cached in GPU memory for the duration of the session and only re-downloaded when the skin version actually changes (e.g. after the owner uploads a new skin).
- Fixed redundant
AvatarRemovedpackets being sent to clients when a tracked player moved out of range, which were causing unnecessary texture evictions and subsequent re-uploads.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
