Changes
New: a first-person "wind lines" speed effect, plus a fix so enchantments like Wax Wings now work on an elytra in the dedicated slot.
Added
- Wind / speed lines. A new cosmetic effect for fast flight: thin streaks rush past you as you build up speed, so a boosted dive really feels fast. It's off by default — turn it on in the Trails screen, where you can set the colour, line length, amount (up to a ridiculous 264), and how long each line stays on screen.
- It only ramps up once you're flying fast, and fades out as you slow down.
- First-person only, and only ever shown to you — other players never see your wind lines.
Fixed
- Elytra enchantments that wear the wing over time now work in the dedicated slot. Some enchantments (for example Wax Wings from Dungeons & Taverns, which slowly damages your elytra when you fly fast) tick the whole time you're gliding. Minecraft only runs those effects for gear in a normal equipment slot, so an elytra in ElytraPlus's dedicated slot skipped them entirely — Wax Wings did no damage at all. The dedicated slot now receives these per-tick (and location-based) enchantment effects just like a worn elytra, so they behave the same whether the elytra is in the slot or the chest.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
