A big upgrade to the fly-to autopilot — a powered cruise, a real dive-and-flare landing, and smart landing-safety that keeps you out of lava, water, and the void — plus quality-of-life fixes for the dedicated slot and trails.
Fly-to & auto-level autopilot
- Powered cruise. Fly-to (the Go button) and auto-level now climb to your cruise height and hold it with a smooth rocket-porpoise, instead of trickling up at a shallow angle.
- Climb angle slider. Choose how steeply the autopilot climbs to cruise height — from a gentle ascent to straight up. (Under Assisted auto-level and on the Flight Locations screen.)
- Dive-and-flare landing. It now dives fast and flares just above the ground for a quick, soft, damage-free touchdown — and avoids clipping walls by flaring early if a taller block is beside the landing spot.
- Engaging mid-flight no longer drops you — toggling auto-level while gliding now powers into the climb.
Smart landing safety (new)
- Avoid water / lava / void toggles in the auto-fly menu. The autopilot checks what's under your destination before descending.
- Auto-reroute. If the destination is unsafe, it finds nearby solid ground that's at least 10 blocks clear of the hazard and lands there instead — with an on-screen note naming the reason (e.g. "Unsafe landing (lava) — rerouting").
- Holding pattern. If there's no safe spot yet, it circles the destination at a safe altitude and keeps searching outward, rather than diving into the hazard.
- Warning alarm + a big on-screen "⚠ Unsafe Landing" alert that stays until you take over. (Toggle: "Sound alarm when rerouting".)
- Hands-off camera. While the autopilot is flying, your mouse no longer disturbs it — press any movement key (or sneak) to take back control and cancel.
Dedicated slot
- Right-click to equip. Right-clicking a held elytra now puts it in the dedicated slot instead of knocking off your chestplate.
- No more dropping it. Clicking the elytra in its slot now picks it up / lets you drag it, instead of throwing it on the floor.
- Creative mode fixed. An elytra in the dedicated slot now lets you glide in creative (it wasn't registering on the server before).
- New empty-slot icon — a subtle elytra outline instead of the chestplate silhouette.
Trails
- Ribbon trails now show in first person (your own ribbon was only visible in third person).
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
