Ender Eye Sword — 1.3 Changelog
It took a while. Longer than we'd like to admit. But here we are — 1.3 is out.
For Fabric users: the last stable release was 1.1.9. If you've been waiting for Strong Detachment (introduced in 1.2.1 on Forge) to make it to Fabric — this is it.
What's new
Full port to Minecraft 1.21.4 The mod has been rebuilt from the ground up for 1.21.4. This isn't a patch — the entire codebase was rewritten to match the new architecture Mojang introduced in recent versions.
Fabric only going forward Forge support ends with 1.2.25. All future updates will be Fabric-exclusive.
Strong Detachment now works properly The enchantment can now be applied at an enchanting table — both on the Ender Eye Sword and on books. Previously the enchanting table wouldn't recognize the sword at all. Two levels, scales pearl shot power and durability cost.
Under the hood
- Switched to data-driven enchantment system (1.21.4 standard)
- Item tags now generated via Fabric Data Generation API — cleaner and more maintainable
- Fixed a bug where breaking the sword wouldn't trigger the correct break animation or particles due to a missing player reference
- Fixed double swing animation on right-click
Next up: 1.3.1 — minor fixes and balance adjustments.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
