Changes
Added
- Minecraft 1.21.8 support — Fabric and NeoForge. Enhanced Movement is now available for 1.21.8, with full gameplay and performance parity: double jump with smart fall-damage protection, directional dash (double-tap WASD or a dedicated keybind), in-air dash, ledge grab, and the Sandevistan-style dash afterimages — stable per-ghost render state, dithered noise-texture trail, prism mode, and shader-pack-compatible emissive rendering.
Changed
- Native config screen — no more Cloth Config dependency. The in-game config is now a built-in vanilla options screen (via Mod Menu on Fabric, the mods-list Config button on NeoForge), backed by plain Gson storage at
config/enhancedmovement.json. This drops the Cloth Config dependency, whose@OnlyInusage on NeoForge 1.21.8 triggered a mod-loading warning gate that blocked entry. Existing config files carry over unchanged.
Notes
- Requires Java 21. The Fabric build needs Fabric API (Mod Menu optional); the NeoForge build needs no extra dependencies.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
