Enhanced VQ 0.9.4
This update introduces the new Warrior quest category, a fully integrated Bestiary, a new Progress overview, and performance improvements to the Quest Book.
New Content
Warrior Quest Category
Added a brand-new Warrior category focused on mob hunting and raids.
- Added dedicated quest chains for all 44 creatures featured in the Bestiary.
- Most creatures have three progression levels: 1, 5, and 10 defeats, with increasingly valuable rewards.
- Completing the third level awards a custom mob head trophy.
- Rare variants such as mounted mobs, Chicken Jockeys, and Spider Jockeys use shorter progression goals of 1, 2, and 3 defeats.
- Bosses require a single defeat and provide higher-value trophies.
- Added themed and unique rewards, including a Wither Skeleton Skull, Iron Horse Armor, a full Shulker Box, an enchanted Power III Bow, and the "Lava Chicken" music disc.
- Added a complete Raid quest line with five progression levels.
- Mob defeats and raid progress are detected automatically through normal gameplay.
Bestiary & Progress
Bestiary
Added a new Bestiary accessible directly from the Quest Book.
- Catalog of all 44 creatures.
- Creatures initially appear as hidden silhouettes.
- Discovering a creature for the first time reveals its entry.
- Entries include the creature's name, first appearance, description, trivia, tips, and dropped items.
- Selected creatures feature dedicated illustrated pages instead of the standard scroll layout.
- The Bestiary will continue to expand with additional artwork over time.
Progress
Added a new Progress overview that brings your entire quest progression together in one place.
View the completion percentage of every category:
- Main
- Explorer
- Miner
- Builder
- Technical
- Wizard
- Warrior
- Advancements
Each category displays its icon, name, and overall completion progress without requiring you to open each category individually.
Performance Improvements
- Optimized Quest Book rendering to reduce repeated work when drawing animated icons and large quest lists.
- Improved interface responsiveness, particularly in the Bestiary and Warrior categories when many entries are displayed simultaneously.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
