Changes
ERYDON 2.0.1
Quick fix release: includes the complete 2.0.0 building update, plus fixes for Sodium graphics-memory spikes and Axiom 6 column selection.
Added
- Modern, Gothic and Georgian arches, with automatic openings from one to six blocks wide alongside Romanesque arches.
- Georgian, Gothic and Modern alcoves in single-, double- and triple-width arrangements. Modern alcoves currently use the rounded Georgian profile.
- Gothic columns, Gothic cornices and Gothic Ornate surrounds, plus large circular columns with a 2×2 footprint.
- Georgian and Georgian Grand wall coping, fitted to supported walls, slabs, layers and slopes, including half-height supports and compatible Daedalon finials.
- Cornices for angled walls, with trimmed runs, mitred corners and returns. Multiple cornice pieces and a ceiling cover can share one block space.
- Rock stone families and completed Rock/Hewn building sets, providing 23 building forms across all 27 materials.
- French Georgian windows with fanlights, opening panes and linked corner arrangements. Arch and French Georgian windows also offer normal or two-way glass.
- Optional High polish controls for Honed, Polished and Ganosis mirror finishes across the shared stone families, with separate metallic-detail and glazing controls.
- Enhanced glazing and column reflections with supported Complementary shaders. Column reflections use a lightweight approximation.
- Smaller offset Oil Burners and a labelled Georgian building showcase, available through
/erydon showcase blocktypes georgian.
Changed
- Native 16x textures are included in the mod. The shared Collection 32x and 64x resource packs remain optional upgrades.
- Connected textures now use ERYDON’s built-in Synapheia engine. Continuity is no longer bundled or required; it can still be installed for other content.
- Metallic inlays connect across supported blocks, layers, stairs and slopes. Experimental Bronze and Silver Trim follows supported slope outlines.
- Large Spiral Stairs use a single pivot block, with automatically rotating stacked sections and a top landing. Existing published four-part stairs remain compatible and can be converted with
/erydon recalc. - Georgian walls follow 27° and 45° stair runs, with configurable pier spacing, transitions and improved selection shapes.
- Arch clusters support mixed materials within the same architectural style. Romanesque arches have refined brickwork, jambs and column controls.
- Columns offer capital and no-capital options, with independent straight or diagonal orientations for their ends.
- Framed glazing forms corners automatically, with smooth shallow panes, matching outlines and clearer Vertical Diagonal names and icons.
- Improved catalogue tags, material and style searches, block ordering and debug-stick controls. Renamed block and item IDs retain permanent aliases and legacy search terms.
- Refreshed Mod Menu settings, branding, keyboard navigation and client/server settings handling. Existing settings migrate automatically.
- Reduced loading, rebuilding, WorldEdit and block-breaking overhead, with smaller texture packaging and bounded breaking-particle effects.
- Refined Gloss covers and coffered-ceiling finishes. Pendant illumination now comes from the pendant body.
- Current releases use Oliver’s Minecraft Mods Restricted License 1.0. Earlier MIT and CC BY-SA permissions remain intact for material previously supplied under those terms.
Fixed
- New in 2.0.1 — Sodium graphics memory: reduced excessive terrain-buffer allocations with Sodium 0.5.13, leaving more memory available for shaders and helping prevent memory-related crashes when loading detailed builds.
- New in 2.0.1 — Axiom 6 selection: restored complete-section selection for large circular columns while retaining Axiom 5 compatibility.
- Connected-texture paths and alignment across arches, windows, cornices, surrounds, ceilings, layers, stairs and rotated model components.
- Flickering, overlapping faces, missing arch sections and pendant textures sampling neighbouring images.
- Slope geometry, mirrored and upside-down corners, collision, selection outlines and matching texture joins.
- Supported Complementary POM heightmaps restarting at cropped model edges or becoming misaligned across connected-texture tiles.
- Crashes during large connected Cover-block edits, and excessive temporary memory use when saving chunks.
- Axiom palette icons and affected rotations or mirrors for arches, alcoves, windows, slices and glazing.
/erydon swapdestinations, finish choices and undo handling. Added/erydon swap overlayfor supported metallic inlays while preserving their underlying stone and settings.- Multiface-layer placement, thickening and copied-item behaviour.
Compatibility and setup
- Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Fabric Loader 0.16.10+, Fabric API 0.92.11+1.20.1 and Java 17+.
- Family mods and official Collection packs must use the matching compat2 generation. Their individual version numbers can differ.
- Sodium and Iris are optional. Sodium 0.5.x requires compatible Indium for model rendering.
- Shader-enhanced polish, glazing and POM require Iris and a supported Complementary profile. Enable the relevant High polish settings, save and restart Minecraft.
- Previously inverted shallow framed-glazing pieces may need replacing with the matching upper or lower section.
Known limitations
- Some lighting banding remains visible on large circular columns.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
