Changes
1.07 – The weather remaster
Tornadoes
- You can actually see the funnel now – no more dark clouds, sagging cloud decks, smoky rain or close fog hiding it.
- The funnel reaches all the way up to the cloud base, grows smoothly, and narrows into a thin rope and lifts off the ground as it dies.
- Four new shapes (needle, snake, barrel, hourglass), helical and horizontal vortices, and sun-lit funnels with faint bands.
- Rain-wrap and dust-wrap, with a new
rainWrapChancesetting to control how often rain hides the tornado.
Storms
- Supercells with real structure, lit by the sun the way real photographs show them, and dark underneath.
- Squall lines with a shelf cloud, which also show up as lines on the radar.
- Landspouts and waterspouts hang from their parent storm, with spray or dust at the foot well barely because its still in wip.
Fire and volcanoes
- Wildfires have their own flame texture, climb into trees, set mobs on fire, and send up a leaning smoke column topped with a fire cloud (pyrocumulus).
- Fire whirls.
- Volcano eruptions you can see from far away: billowing ash columns, pyroclastic flows, lava bombs and lightning in the plume.
Sky
- A new sun and moon, and proper solar and lunar eclipses: the diamond ring, the corona, and a copper blood moon. You get a heads-up on the day.
- The sun and moon no longer vanish when you look at them.
Also
- Five new advancements: Totality, Blood Moon, Dirty Thunderstorm, Wall of Dust and Front Page.
- New tornado and siren sounds, rebuilt sirens, a real portable radar display, and the forecaster is now a projector.
- The radar shows what is really there, with the real TVS icon.
- Calmer seas, softer clouds, and lots of bug fixes – including the eclipse that hit every new world at its first noon, and waterspouts that hovered above the water.
Requires Weather2 and CoroUtil on NeoForge 1.21.1.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
