Extinguishable Torches
Place a torch and watch it die. This datapack makes all torches extinguish after a set amount of time!
Resourcepack
Download the resourcepack for proper functionality (if not already installed). All players must download the resourcepack if they don't want textureless boxes of doom. You can download the resourcepack on the version page at the bottom under "Supplementary resources."
How To Use
- Reignite torches by using a Flint and Steel or a Fire Charge.
- You can manually extinguish a torch by using a shovel.
- To uninstall safely, run
/function extinguishable_torches:uninstallthen disable or remove the datapack from your datapacks folder.
Info
Torch fuses are randomized from 10-50 minutes. The ability to change these times is not currently supported as of v1.0.0
There are a few known bugs that I am too lazy to fix right now. If enough people download, I might fix them.
Known Bugs
- Torches will not die out if placed from the corner of a block. To avoid this, make sure you place in the center of the block.
- You can place "invisible" blocks (e.g. torches, fire, grass) on the same block as the extinguished torch. To avoid this, don't do that.
