Extra Utilities (VOIDEDS)
Extra Utilities is a Fabric mod by VOIDED_1 that adds useful, fun, and sometimes crazy Minecraft features that do not fit into another mod. It is a growing collection of balanced tools, items, and mechanics made from ideas I wish were in the game.

Extra Utilities - Version 1
First Release
This is the first release of Extra Utilities, introducing the mod’s first major item: the Starfall Lumber Axe.
Added
Starfall Lumber Axe
- Added the Starfall Lumber Axe, a powerful late-game axe.
- Functions like a normal axe while also having tree-chopping abilities.
- Crafted using expensive materials to keep it balanced for survival gameplay.
- Designed to chop connected trees faster without being overpowered.
Tree Chopping
- The axe can chop down connected trees when the first broken block is a log.
- Uses vanilla log and leaf tags when possible.
- Breaks connected logs instead of clearing every log in a large radius.
- Can also break nearby connected leaves.
- Tree chopping works server-side to help prevent client/server desync.
- Sneaking disables the tree-chopping ability, allowing normal single-block breaking.
Balance and Safety
- Added a default max log limit of 128 logs per tree.
- Added durability damage based on the number of logs chopped.
- Durability is balanced around roughly 1 durability per 2 logs.
- Added safeguards to prevent infinite loops, giant radius clearing, and excessive block breaking.
Config
- Added a simple config system.
- Max logs per tree can be adjusted.
- Leaf breaking can be enabled or disabled.
- Durability cost scaling can be adjusted.
Notes
This is the first version of the mod, so future updates will expand Extra Utilities with more tools, items, mechanics, and useful features.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
