Loading
- Pack discovery reads metadata on a worker pool instead of one pack at a time on the main thread.
pack.mcmetais read once per pack instead of once per metadata section. Vanilla reopens and reparses it four times.- Zip packs are indexed once and looked up by prefix, instead of walking the whole archive
on every
findResourcesandgetNamespacescall. Vanilla rebuilds and UTF-8 decodes every entry name on each pass. - Server pack metadata is read in parallel. It runs before the loading screen exists, so a large pack froze the window there with no progress bar.
- Font glyph coverage is resolved across cores. Above a few hundred fonts it switches to a claim-based pass that cuts the work from (code points x fonts) to roughly (code points).
- The glyph warm-up loop is skipped when no font in the set caches on access, which is every vanilla font except TrueType. On a bitmap-font pack it was pure waste.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
