Flint Quests v1.1.0 — First Release
- Fully in-game quest creation and editing — no manual JSON editing required.
- Dedicated Quest Book UI for viewing and progressing through quests.
- Visual quest layout/editor with click-and-drag panning for larger quest trees.
- Create and configure quest prerequisites and progression paths.
- Multiple objective/task types, including item-based, checkmark, and custom-event tasks.
- Proper player-checkable objectives for tasks that require manual confirmation.
- Searchable Minecraft item IDs and quest icons directly from the editor.
- Customizable quest names, descriptions, icons, IDs, and objective settings.
- Automatic handling of required Flint Quests quest-ID formatting/namespacing.
- Built around an API-style custom event system, allowing other mods to hook their own mechanics into quests.
- External mods can register quest events with Flint Quests and trigger them when their own gameplay conditions are met.
- Designed so integrations such as Project Flint can add progression checks without Flint Quests needing hardcoded knowledge of the other mod.
- Quest data and player progression are saved and restored between sessions.
- Built as a general-purpose quest framework, rather than something limited specifically to Project Flint.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
