Forgotten Flames 0.3.3 — Fabric Support Update
This update adds official Fabric support and turns Forgotten Flames into a multi-loader mod.
Added
- Added official Fabric support.
- Added a dedicated Fabric build alongside the existing NeoForge build.
Changed
-
Forgotten Flames is now maintained as a multi-loader project.
-
Fabric and NeoForge builds now share the same core feature set.
-
Both loader versions include:
- Configurable torch and lantern extinguishing
- Smoldering torches
- Dormant embers in forgotten places
- Forgotten Places structure lighting
- Campfire fuel mechanics
- Campfire cooking quality
- Burnt food
- Charred remains
Compatibility
- Supports Minecraft 26.2.
- Use the file made for your mod loader.
- Fabric players must install the Fabric version.
- NeoForge players must install the NeoForge version.
- Do not install the Fabric and NeoForge jars at the same time.
Notes
- Existing worlds are not retroactively changed by Forgotten Places.
- Forgotten Places only affects newly generated allowlisted structure chunks.
- Villages remain excluded and keep their normal vanilla lighting.
- Feature behavior may still depend on the world or server config.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
