- Update checker never detected new releases — The Modrinth API URL contained unencoded
[,], and"characters (loaders=["fabric"]). Java'sURI.create()rejects these with anIllegalArgumentExceptionthat was silently swallowed, so the HTTP request never executed. The URL now uses percent-encoded form (loaders=%5B%22fabric%22%5D). - Update notification could be missed on slow title screens — The old implementation slept 10 seconds after the HTTP response, then checked
mc.player. If the player hadn't joined a world yet, the notification was silently dropped. The notification is now stored and shown 3 seconds after the next world join viaClientPlayConnectionEvents.JOIN.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
