Galacticube 2.0.2 — Mercury Update
Explore Mercury: harsh terrain, extreme heat and cold, solar storms, new structures and resources.
Mercury surface
- Gray-brown landscape down to bedrock
- Impact craters, basins, rocky rims, underground cave bubbles
- Polar-band permanently shadowed ice (
mercury_ice)
Extreme temperature
- Day / lit side: extreme heat — Thermal Suit required
- Night / shadow / polar ice: extreme cold — Cryogenic Suit required
- Conditions follow local sky light
Solar storms
- Periodic storms with instrument warning, then full corona wash
- Sky and fog turn orange-red during storms
- Extra battery drain; solar-panel recharge pauses
- HUD / action-bar alerts
Structures
- Mercury Research Station (lab, airlock, solar wing, mast)
- Mercury Crypt — connected radial solar vault (crater shaft + 3-wide spokes)
- Abandoned Mercury Outpost
- Solar Observatory
- Impact Site (rare loot)
Resources
- Turquoise Ore / Turquoise
- Solar Crystal (rare)
- Ancient Alloy (ruins / impact loot)
- Space Glass (full blocks in structures — wide windows, not thin panes)
Weather polish (Mars / Venus)
- Mars dust storms — red snow-like flakes + strong wind knockback
- Venus — yellow sky, thick sulfuric clouds, frequent green acid rain that damages without an Acid Suit
Fixes in this release
- Menu / options screens use the cosmic space background (no dirt panels)
- Rocket ascent from non-Earth worlds no longer flashes Earth-blue sky
- Connected Mercury Crypt rooms; glass in structures is wide full blocks
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
