MAY HAVE COMPATIBILITY ISSUES WITH OTHER DATAPACKS SERVERSIDE
Summary
An origins style datapack that adds 6 "races" that are applied using craftable items. These craftable items are syringes that require you to stand next to the mob the genetic modification is based off of to complete it. Each genetic modification has a unique ability based off of a mob, blah blah blah I don't want to type up all the details.
How to install
Place the datapack zip in the world folder and also install the resource pack. The resource pack isn't necessarily required if it's too much of a hassle to download for whatever reason.
How do I use this mod?
All the item crafting recipes are in the recipe book in the crafting menu, just craft the genetic modification that you want and right click within a couple blocks of the mob to complete the genetic modification. After you do that just hold right click to apply the completed genetic modification. Place the ability item in your offhand to activate it. To remove the genetic modification just use the syringe you got from applying the modification or craft an empty syringe from the crafting menu. If you're an admin and you want all of them just type /function genmod:giveall.
All Genetic Modifications (this section will be expanded upon)
Wolf: 5% shorter, -2 max hearts, 1.5x faster sneaking speed, 10% faster movement speed. Ability gives strength and speed.
Cat: 5% shorter, -1 max hearts, larger safe fall distance and less fall damage overall, 2x faster sneaking speed, 10% faster movement speed. Ability gives jump boost and night vision.
Fish: 10% shorter, -1.5 max hearts, 15% slower movement speed on land, water breathing, better movement underwater. Ability gives conduit power and dolphin's grace.
Breeze: -4 armor points, -1 max hearts, significantly less fall damage, 10% faster movement speed. Ability gives infinite wind charges (non-dupable).
Enderman: 10% taller, ~1.5x block range, -4 armor points. Ability gives infinite ender pearls (non-dupable).
Iron Golem: 15% taller, +3 max hearts, 15% slower movement speed, +6 armor points
