Changes
GeoTectonic 2.0.0
- Added: Support for every Minecraft version from 1.20.1 to 1.21.1: Fabric on all of them, Forge on 1.20.1 to 1.21 except 1.20.5, which Forge never released, and NeoForge on 1.20.4 to 1.21.1, with one download in place of a separate file for each Minecraft version.
- Added: A settings screen for every setting, opened from Mod Menu on Fabric and from the Config button in the mod list on Forge and NeoForge.
- Added: A chat message with a download link when a newer GeoTectonic is out for your Minecraft version and loader, checked once per game start and turned off with
check_for_updatesinconfig/geotectonic.toml. - Added: A
[tectonic]section inconfig/geotectonic.tomlthat turns each of Tectonic's caves, noodle caves, lava tunnels and underground rivers back on or off separately. - Added: The Dry Passage, a long, wide, winding tunnel deep underground, carved dry, with a little amethyst and a few ores in its walls and its own subtitle, advancement and ambient sound.
- Added: A setting to generate Karst chambers without their pool of water.
- Added: With Terralith or YUNG's Better Caves installed, their caves are filled with rock as vanilla's are, each with its own switch in
config/geotectonic.toml. - Changed: The Forge build accepts Forge 47.1 and later, so it also runs on the NeoForge 1.20.1 fork.
- Removed: GeoTectonic no longer requires Architectury API or Cloth Config.
- Fixed:
/geotectonic findfinds caves it used to miss and/geotectonic statscounts the chunks where each cave really starts, both following the order in which the world places carvers. - Fixed: On Fabric, GeoTectonic's caves are placed in overworld biomes only, as on Forge and NeoForge, instead of in every biome, and on Minecraft 1.20.1 to 1.20.4 a world with GeoTectonic no longer opens the "Worlds using Experimental Settings are not supported" screen each time it loads.
- Fixed: Tectonic's underground rivers are kept instead of being filled with solid rock where GeoTectonic generates chunks.
GeoTectonic 1.0.3
- Fixed:
/geotectonic helplists every cave type, including sea_cave, crystal_vein and volcanic_vent. - Fixed: All eight GeoTectonic advancements load again on Minecraft 1.21.1.
GeoTectonic 1.0.2
- Changed: Command help and the cave distance message use a plain hyphen instead of a long dash.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
