Girlfriend Mod: A Cute, Loyal Companion for Minecraft

Never play alone again. Girlfriend Mod is a Minecraft companion mod that adds a loyal, adorable girlfriend NPC (a tamable, pet-like partner) to your world. She follows you on adventures, fights mobs to protect you, picks flowers for you, chats with you, and falls a little more in love every day you spend together. Perfect for solo survival, cozy builds and anyone who wants their world to feel a bit less empty.

A companion who actually feels alive

• Follows you everywhere, waits when you ask, and runs back to you if you get separated

Your bodyguard

• Defends you from anything that attacks you, and gets stronger and tougher as your bond grows
• Picks up and equips swords, axes, armor and shields she finds

Make her yours (sneak + right-click menu)

• Hug, headpat, kiss and dance buttons
• Rename her (or use a name tag)
• 20 built-in looks, or give her any Minecraft player's skin by typing their username
• Follow, wait and sit toggles, plus her mood, hunger and health at a glance

You control the gifts

• Turn gifts off per girlfriend with the Gifts button in her menu or /girlfriend gifts false
• Server owners can edit config/girlfriend-mod.json (then /girlfriend reload): change how often she gives gifts, switch flower-picking off, add gift items from other mods and block items she should never give, like the totem of undying
• "Wait here" means it: when she's waiting or sitting she stays put and only deals with something that comes right up to her

Safe and friendly

• Your hits don't hurt her by default, so accidental clicks are fine. She'll just pout
• Turn on friendly fire if you want consequences: she'll sulk for a bit, but she never attacks you

Getting Started

1. Craft a Girlfriend Summoner: Heart of the Sea in the middle, diamonds above and below, poppies on the sides (or find it in the creative menu)
2. Right-click to meet her
3. Right-click her to toggle follow/wait. Sneak + right-click opens her menu
4. Feed her (she loves cake, pie, cookies and golden apples) and give her flowers to grow closer

Commands

/girlfriend shows help. Also: summon, stats, list, name <name>, skin <username|reset>, texture <1-20>, friendlyfire <true|false>, gifts <true|false>

FAQ

Which versions? Minecraft 26.3 and 1.21.11 on Fabric (needs Fabric API). Older versions are still in the Versions tab.

Client or server? Install on both. Works in singleplayer and multiplayer, and every player can have their own girlfriend.

She attacked me in an old version! Fixed in 2.2: she can never target her owner.

Is the chat an AI? No. Her replies are written lines that react to what you type, so nothing leaves your game.

Too many gifts? Turn them off in her menu, or tune them in config/girlfriend-mod.json.

Forge / NeoForge? Fabric only for now.

Because everyone deserves someone who's always happy to see them.
