Changes
Welcome to Granules build 422! I don't pride myself on huge jumps like this, but it's been a few-week journey between refinements and previously planned additions that have been added.
Below are all the additions and changes:
Building and Decoration
- Aspen Wood: A new wood type has been added to the Burrow, rarely spawning amongst the birch. It can grow at any light level and has a permanent yellow tint.
- Chorus: Bundling unpopped chorus fruit the same way you would Bamboo produces the chorus set.
- Echo: Echo Shards may be bundled into a deep-blue polished brick set.
- Amethyst: In polished and brick variants, much like quartz.
- Chiseled Logs and Stumps: Chiseled logs use the top face, unlike the Wood blocks, which use the side faces; they also come in slab variants, known as stumps.
- Litter Clumps: Compress down Leaf Litter into Litter Clumps, which are a more efficient fuel source and give that crunchy leaf texture and sound. Doesn't need shears!
- Paintings: Added a lot of paintings referential to memes, dogs, and the skybox of older games, reconstructed with Bryce 7.
- Horizontal Fences and Walls: Oriented by surface placement.
- Hybrid Slabs: Technically exists as a debug block that inherits the properties of two slabs; literally functions as two slabs stacked on top of each other.
- Woodcutting with the Stonecutter for more efficient recipes.
Domestic
- Minecart Trains: Lead minecarts together, and use a Furnace Minecart to tow! They're 3x faster now.
- Double Doors: Double down. Paired doors open and close together.
- Anti-Trample: Crops cannot be trampled by Feather Falling.
- Armor Stand arms: Right-click an armor stand with sticks in both hands to apply them.
- Juices: Apples and Melon Slices can now be crafted into Apple and Melon Juice, respectively.
- Junction improvements: Corrected input direction and conduction.
World Generation
- Generation Factor: Controllable in the World Creation tab, you can now choose how frequently structures generate in the world.
- Shore Findings: Suspicious gravel and sand may spawn naturally around ocean-side beaches.
- Badlands Wells: Contains and adds suspicious red sand.
- Tea Shrubs: Found in the jungle, tea leaves can be crafted into a variety of teas, with most using Green Tea as a base. All tea provides the Instant Cleansing effect, which acts as a quick reset alongside its potion effects. Tabula Rasa is an effect exclusive to Chamomile Tea, which resets a lot of worldly behaviors (including insomnia, omens, and warden strikes).
Tools
- Dirt TNT and Dry TNT unify the Dynamite sets to the original block.
- Tongs: To do everything Shears can't.
- Iron Locks: Primarily for map-makers, but usable in survivable. Locks for redstone, which had this function through levers, freeze block-state growth, paintings, armor frames, placeable eggs, Copper Golem statues, sculk catalysts, and more.
- Resin Clumps can now be used as an arrowhead in the Fletching Table, allowing its arrows to pass through leaves.
- End Crystal Defense: Players can now place End Crystals on Respawn Anchors, and on obsidian pyramids to act as anti-air. Has similar filtering rules to offensive golems.
- Gunpowder also works as a substitute for Creeper Heads in offensive golem filtering.
- Grave Shovel: A rare spawn with Zombies in the Burrow. Can be used to exhume your friends and pets from lofty situations in other dimensions. Can also be used to bury items into sand, gravel, and red sand from the offhand.
- Chainmail Invisibility: Simple as! The invisibility affects the light chainmail, too.
Mobs
- Herding: While passive mobs do spawn in them, they don't typically act in them. The same animals group and scatter if one is in danger.
- Undead and Arthropods: With the exception of bees, bugs and the undead fear campfires, especially those of soul fire.
- Creepers: Are now scared of all types of ghasts as well as the music disc Cat.
- Legacy Spawning: A gamerule has been added to add the old passive mob spawning and despawning.
- Copper Golems: Can be upgraded with Eyes of Ender (to see further), Item Frames (to sort better), and an empty Bundle (to hold more). Can also be fed Redstone Dust to move quicker temporarily.
Enchantments and Loot
- Butchery: Found in Nether fortresses. Extremely effective against all manner of swine.
- Hearthearth (Heart Hearth): Found in trial chambers. Plant a sword in a campfire to establish a spawn. Also repairs itself over time.
- Knowledge Tome: Fixed the permanent upgrade mechanic for your recipe book. Shows as it's supposed to.
- Unmarked Discs: Improved dynamic handling of music tracks, including those of modded ambient tracks.
- Balancing Config: You can mess with all values related to chances and strengths if you feel the default is faulty.
Presentation
- Titles: Can be equipped and unequipped from advancements. Mix and match!
- 9 new advancements tied to new and existing features
- 24 custom splash text entries, with the option to click the splash to reroll it.
- Trimmed down file size with bitrate minimization without affecting quality too much.
- Various bug fixes and improvements.
Optional dependencies
Known incompatibilities
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
