[CHANGELOG] Version: 1.2.1
Critical stability and optimization patch introducing complete guidebook file autonomy via local config migration, direct-from-disk NBT structure compilation for the multi-block projector, omnivorous media asset path resolution, and a fully overhauled UI navigation matrix.
New Features:
- Full Autonomy via Local Config Migration โ Completely decoupled all guidebook files from the mod's internal JAR archive. All layouts, formatting settings, and chapter files are now dynamically parsed directly from the host machine's local disk under the unified path: .minecraft/config/guide/books/[book_id]/.
- Automated Config Blueprint & Structure Generation โ Engineered a self-assembling directory initialization routine. Upon the very first launch, the mod automatically extracts a complete ready-to-edit blueprint template of the guidebook into the config folder, now natively generating the dedicated structures directory to isolate and protect custom layouts from overwrite loops during CurseForge modpack updates.
- Localized Hot-Reload Matrix (/guide reload) โ Introduced a client-side layout hot-swapping command that instantly flushes and repopulates the guidebook UI memory directly from disk edits. The command runs completely locally on the client and is available to all users by default, bypassing vanilla operator (OP) status privileges and cheat locks.
- Quick-Access Chat Navigation (/guide) โ Implemented a specialized quick-launch chat handle that instantly routes the player directly to the primary book selection viewport from anywhere in the world. This removes physical book inventory dependencies and preserves keybind real estate.
- Direct-from-Disk Image & Animated GIF Loading โ Upgraded the media compilation layer to process visual assets directly from the local config directory without generating virtual or physical resource packs. Images (@image:) and animated GIFs (@gif:) are mapped and stream-loaded flawlessly, permanently neutralizing the checkerboard placeholder texture glitch.
- Consolidated 3D Multi-Block NBT Projection โ Overhauled the internal projector (PlacementProjector) and page layout rendering pipelines (StructureRenderer) to dynamically stream and compile .nbt multi-block data files directly from the config folder. Modpack developers can now bundle complex structural prints natively into the guidebook package without external datapack dependencies.
- On-the-Fly Runtime Translation Hook โ Designed a localized translation parser that automatically indexes and registers active localization matrices (such as lang/ru_ru.json) straight from the local book folder, refreshing guidebook metadata, structures, and indices dynamically on launch.
- Native Text Alignment and Multi-Space Indentation โ Refactored the Markdown parser to structurally preserve space blocks and tabulations (\t) at the start of text sequences. This allows creators to forge nested hierarchies and paragraph indents safely within external editors without desynced hyperlink click-interceptions.
Improvements & Fixes:
- Updated Blueprint Documentation Matrix โ Thoroughly overhauled the core instructional .md template files inside the default generated layout. Added live formatting blueprints and syntax documentation for deep multi-space indents, margin control, and omnivorous asset paths to guide creators seamlessly.
- Omnivorous Media Asset Path Resolution โ Re-engineered the inner string-token engine for all image and animated GIF pipelines into a fully omnivorous parser. Whether a line supplies an absolute path, a shortened fileName string, or retains internal mod namespace prefixes (like guide:), the engine automatically cleanses, truncates, and matches the target file directly on the disk.
- Premium Search Caret and Cyrillic Layout Overhaul โ Completely redesigned the text input logic. Integrated a clean vertical caret (|) that allows full directional movement through the string and handles text selection arrays perfectly, entirely mitigating Cyrillic layout glitches and character desyncs while the native trailing character completes the sequence.
- Flawless Scrollbar Hyperlink Tracking Precision โ Resolved a critical layout trap where text hyperlinks would become entirely unclickable or misaligned under vertical scrolling sequences or deep indentations. Hitboxes now mathematically track the active text lines on screen under any dynamic scrollbar viewport offset.
- Consolidated GUI Stack Reset & World Escape โ Reconstructed screen task lifecycle handling across the interface. Clicking on a structure projection button or striking the Escape key now completely zeroes the active GUI stack, terminating the screen overlay and dumping the player directly back into the live world space instead of trapping and bouncing them backward into the Book Selector interface.
- Intelligent Sidebar Subchapter Dropdowns โ Rebuilt the left-side navigation panel engine to cleanly support cascading drop-down sub-menus (@submenu:). This fix successfully optimizes UI frame rates, forces layout bullets into horizontal alignment, and eradicates button duplication loops within custom guide books.
- Unbreakable Navigation Viewport History โ Patched the event memory for browser-style "Back" (โ) and "Forward" (โ) page navigation buttons. The viewport now securely locks the visibility state of expanded sub-menus, preventing the sidebar from abruptly collapsing or wiping active context when navigating broken files.
- Zero-Warning Clean Compilation Monolith โ Optimized internal graphics rendering loops and stripped dead class methods from the source directory, returning the compilation pipeline to a flawless green state with absolute zero warning logs inside the IDE Problems board.
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
