📘 About this mod:
Pure Copper Tools is yet another copper tools and armor mod that strives to fit the Vanilla style as closely as possible. All colors have been derived from the Vanilla blocks, and the item statistics were thoughtfully curated to be interesting and useful while not overlapping other materials.
This mod is intended to be used alongside my other mods, which I'm calling "micro-mods". I aim to combat bloated, overproduced mods with my simplistic, segmented micro-mods. Curate your own features without editing confusing config files and disabling recipes. Check my profile to find more mods, and complete your pack!
📖 What's inside:
v1.0.0 - Initial release!
Added the following items in all four material variants (Copper, Exposed Copper, Weathered Copper, and Oxidixed Copper):
Sword, Shovel, Pickaxe, Axe, Hoe, Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots, Ingot, and Nugget.
All crafting recipes follow the Vanilla standard. You craft all four levels of copper ingots from the various stages of copper blocks, similar to how iron works. All other mechanics of metal armor and tools should be functional.
All items are iron in attack damage, armor, and efficiency. However, durability, enchantability, and armor toughness change with armors that are more oxidized. The idea is that the oxidization is adding mass to the armor, causing more toughness of the metals and more durability, while the thicker coating on the metal resists enchantability.
Copper tier:
Durability: 184
Enchantability: 22 (same as gold)
Armor Toughness: 0
Exposed Copper tier:
Durability: 218
Enchantability: 18
Armor Toughness: 0.5
Weathered Copper tier:
Durability: 258
Enchantability: 14
Armor Toughness: 1.0
Oxidized Copper tier:
Durability: 304
Enchantability: 10 (same as diamond)
Armor Toughness: 1.5
🙋♂️ FAQ:
Q: Will you backport to any older versions?
A: No. I prefer to keep my attention on the latest versions.
Q: Does this work on version ____?
A: Try it and see! If it does, please comment so I can mark it.
Q: What's the difference between this and every other copper items mod?
A: Glad you asked. My implementations may be more suitable to some styles. I follow a very vanilla friendly style, leaning towards underpowered. No hammers/treeaxes/excavators/paxels, straight forward, while feeling like a natural Minecraft update.
Q: This mod feels a bit overpowered/underpowered. Is there a config?
A: There is no config at this time. As I am relatively new to mod making, creating a config that works with Fabric and Forge is quite difficult. I'm hopeful in the future, there will be a config. If you have comments about this mod, please join the Discord and share your thoughts.
