HAVOC is a mod aiming to rebalance the entire progression with a bunch of exciting features, and items!
LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK!!! IF YOU PLAYED TO MOD, PLEASE JOIN THE DISCORD! ANY AND ALL FEEDBACK IS HIGHLY APRICHIATED! (BOTH GOOD AND BAD!)
HAVOC [ALPHA 5]
- You start out with 6 hearts, higher your level, the higher your hearts. (max 10) [Normal Difficulty and Above]- XP Overcharge: Depending on your level, you are able to gain extra temp hearts from the monsters you kill!
Food rework: Food instantly heals, and refills your entire foodbar.
- (Easy - 20 HP of heal for every food item | + Slow regen)
- (Normal - X HP of heal | X = Food hunger amount | + Slow regen)
- (Hard - X HP of heal | X = Food hunger amount)
- Beds no longer explode in the Nether and the End
- Scrap: Wood turns into scrap instead of planks, which is the new medium of wood crafting.
- You are now able to craft the following things in your 2x2 crafting grid; Planks, Stairs, Slabs, Doors, Buttons!
- Logs also give a lot more scrap on average compared to vanilla rates, 1.5x-3x depending on the tree type.
- When you die, you don't respawn at spawn, you instead respawn around the area where you died. Distance depends on difficulty. On Easy and Peaceful you spawn right beside where you died. On Normal, you spawn around thea area, few hundred blocks. On Hard, you may spawn even as far as a whole KM away!
- Useless mobs now drop stuff! Bees, Parrots, Turtles (drops shell on death), Bats. They now all drop meat!
- Animal drops are way more consistent. Ever killed a cow and got no leather? Yeah, me too... Annoying... Well, not anymore! Instead of every cow combined on average dropping 1 leather. Now they all drop 1 leather, garanteed! With many other adjustments, such as animals dropping bones when they die!
- Crafting reworks!; Craft leather armor for 5 times cheaper in a stonecutter, bake bread in a furnace, and craft flint from gravel!
- Going to the nether roof is no longer just a bug! Find a spot with soft bedrock, and you are able to mine through with diamond gear! No more getting stuck on the nether roof either, just break the bedrock with your fist! (If you got enough time...)
- XP dropped on death is ~99.9% of your current XP! If you were level 500.7, you would drop about 500~ levels worth of XP. Instead of 7...
- You can craft stone tools from ANY kind of stone! Basalt, Granite, Blackstone, Netherack, Sandstone. WHATEVER! You can make it into a tool!
- The crafting table now requires IRON to craft, making early game longer.
PAINTABLE WOOD!
HARD DIFFICULTY BONUSES!
Ever felt like Hard difficulty wasn't hard enough? Here are some new features to make Hard difficulty actually feel different from the rest of the modes!- Monsters drop way more loot on HARD difficulty! Certain mobs will sometimes drop even 5x the amount of drops for certain items than on Easy!
- You sink in water if your armor is too heavy
- Zombies now have a second stage after you kill them, where they keep fighting as a skeleton!
- Flaming enemies will no longer grant you cooked goods. A burning animal returns burnt meat, a burning monster returns ash! No more cheesing for good loots!
PROTOTYPE VERSION [ALPHA 2]
New HARD mode exclusive difficulty modifiers Monsters are stronger during the day, and when they catch on fire, they start SPRINTING at you! Creepers blow up if killed with a "fire" weapon such as: fire aspect, and flame. If your armor is too heavy, you wont be able to swim, neither in lava nor in water!
Misc features When fighting the Wither, the Witherstorm music will start playing, if the wither is defeated it will play an ending song. (Multiplayer compability not yet tested)
Misc Information
WORK IN PROGRESS The mod is WIP at the moment, currently there are 3 prototype builds. All for testing porpuses only. Getting to the v1.0.0 version of this mod is going to be a big undertaking. So until then, I wont be calling this pack anything more than an "experimental alpha." Also, please don't mind the placeholder assets. Currently some features are specific to one prototype. v0.1 is more tame, with just a few new items. v0.2 is full of insane sh*t, and v0.3 is a work in progress build, with a new wooden tool crafting system, since then v0.3 has advanced into v0.5, that's the current recommended version to try.
Newbie Modder Please don't flame me THAT hard if I do something wrong, making mistakes is part of the process!

1, The HAVOC mod is completely open source, you are allowed to make modifications, or even release your own forks of this mod. Just make sure you follow the MIT license (In short: Credit me)
1b, If you are experienced in Minecraft modding, or just Minecraft in general. Feel free to check out the source code, to recommend better solutions for some of the features. It's appreciated!
2, The mod is made with MCreator. Yes, I know this tool has absolutely horrible reputation. But, that's just because how easy is it to use for low level stuff such as new armor. Due to this, if you want to make a fork of my mod. It should be extremely easy to do so.
3, If the Mod will ever reach a feature complete version. And demand is high enough for a rewrite. I WILL remake the whole mod without the usage of MCreator. But, until this happens, the mod will be made with MCreator.
HAVOC I'm tired of all rebalance mods being the exact same thing! It's allways just Vanilla+ this Vanilla+ that. I'm done with that! What happened with interesting and BOLD new features? Let the world be filled with chaos! I have finally decided to make my vision of an actually interesting rebalance mod true!
Future plans for the grand modpack When development reaches the point where I can no longer add new features, or I feel like most features I'm adding already have a mod out there. I will create a modpack around the mod, all aiming to fix its issues, that I myself, no longer can.
Future Rebalances In order to make the new items as fun as possible, the goal of the pack is to also rebalance all existing items. Giving more durability to stone, making Leather much cheaper, making chainmail an essential part of progression, and rebalancing enchanting. While also giving new crafting recipes to existing items that are WAY too expensive for no reason!
