Height Lock v1.0.0
Height Lock is a client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4 that restricts which vertical block layers the player can mine.
When enabled, blocks can only be mined at:
- The Y level directly in front of the player’s head
- The Y level around the player’s lower body
Blocks below those levels, including blocks on the ground, cannot be mined until Height Lock is disabled.
Controls
Press X + ] to toggle Height Lock on or off.
The ] key can be changed under:
Options → Controls → Key Binds → Height-Locked Mining
Requirements

This is a client-side mod.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
