Changes
Hostile Tactics v0.8.0: Web Hunt
- Added smart combat replacement for normal spiders and cave spiders.
- Spiders now use Hostile Tactics movement and attack logic while keeping vanilla damage, speed, sounds, climbing, and cave-spider poison.
- Spider packs can spread out, pressure from different angles, and try to cut off player retreat.
- Added fair spider memory behavior: hidden targets use last seen or last heard positions, not wall tracking.
- Added optional cobweb trap behavior through the existing world interaction system.
- Cobweb traps respect
mobGriefing, config settings, cooldowns, loaded chunks, and protected block tags. - Solo spiders still hunt normally, while groups become more tactical.
- No damage, health, speed, spawn, or poison buffs.
- No global Warband integration for spiders yet.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
