Changes
1.3.3 - Multiplayer Search & Index Freshness
Fixed
- Fixed chest indexing stopping after switching multiplayer servers. Scanning continues after reconnecting, including when disconnecting with a chest open.
- In-game search and Hidden Containers immediately use the connected server or world, preventing results from other saved servers from appearing during a world change.
- Open search results refresh when indexed contents change or movement affects the Stored Items range.
- Empty results now explain when matching items are outside the Stored Items range, even when the separate highlight range still includes those chests.
- Closest-item searches ending in
!use only the current world's indexed items and custom names. - Item totals, locations, highlights, and material availability stay separate for each server or singleplayer save. The dashboard shows only the connected server/save; its other dimensions remain available. Disconnecting clears active selections without deleting saved indexes.
- Removed or replaced containers automatically lose their indexed contents, locations, and highlights once their block update is loaded by the client. Validation also runs while another chest menu is open.
- A destroyed container's still-open menu can no longer restore obsolete contents to the index when it closes.
- New chest snapshots remember both double-chest halves and their shape. Removing a half, splitting a chest, or joining chests invalidates obsolete combined totals; reopening captures the current inventory.
- Unloaded chunks and other servers/dimensions retain their saved inventories. An absent client block entity alone is no longer treated as proof that a container was removed.
- Initial vanilla chest indexing waits for consistent block and inventory packets, while retaining support for larger modded chest menus.
- Fixed Fabric/Quilt clients hanging or crashing during shutdown by closing the embedded dashboard and saving the index when Minecraft stops.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
