Changes
Hotwire 0.7.0 Beta (Partial Rewrite)
- A mod that is off no longer runs when another mod still calls into it: its methods answer with nothing until it is on again, whoever calls them
- Turning off a mod that takes others with it asks you first, with each mod's icon and why it goes
- You can pause and stop downloads now!
- Hotwire's screen opens and closes instantly now
- Fixed the game crashing at launch when a folder in its path has non-English letters
- SkyHanni, SkyOcean and SkyblockAddons can be added while the game runs now
- Fixed SkyBlock Profile Viewer being refused on servers for making entities it doesn't make
- Fixed Comforts crashing the game when added while it runs, mods like it now wait for the next launch
- Resource pack and shader downloads show progress and can be paused or stopped like mods
- Turning a mod back on no longer breaks objects the game made while it was off (BadOptimizations' entities, Essential's player renderers)
- SkyBlock API and other mods that mess with packets turn off and on properly now and you dont get kicked from your world anymore
- Hytils Reborn works again after being turned off and on
- A mod whose switch makes the game throw is turned off instead of the game crashing
- Added a key that opens the mod store (unbound until you pick one in Controls)
- Mods that lost their icon in Hotwire's screens keep it now, including after turning them off and on
- Fixed a mod's code running after its off when PolyPlus's Polydium had copied its check into the game's own code (Overflow Animations) or kept its factory (Entity Model Features: PolyPlus now goes off with it, and Hotwire says so once)
- Fixed turning SBO back on being refused for dropping its own patches
- Turning a mod back on doesnt reload resources anymore when its pack only holds its own stuff, so those ons are way faster
- Mods that set up their own fields inside the games constructors switch without a rebuild now, so mods like Essential and Entity Texture Features turn on way faster
- Turning a mod back on doesnt pause the game for a resource reload anymore unless it has to
- Fixed a crash when you switched a mod right after another switch while the game was still reloading
- The Libraries button actually hides libraries now
- Fixed turning on a mod kept off since an earlier start being refused for dropping patches of a mod that stays on (SBO)
- Fixed OneConfig's menu key (right shift) dying after BehindYouV3's off: OneConfig's keybind listeners were taken for BehindYouV3's
- Fixed turning LambDynamicLights back on crashing the game on a sulfur cube, and its light staying on a dropped torch after its off
- Fixed an added mod's client commands missing until the next join (Locolourtor)
- Fixed the store refusing some mods because they list a library for another loader (Zoomify)
- Adding a mod from the store doesnt update your Fabric API behind your back anymore
- An updated mod's new textures and words show at once, not after the next F3+T
- When Hotwire caused a crash, the log and the crash report say so in one plain sentence, first thing
- A freeze report says your game froze instead of calling it a crash
- Fixed an off leaving a mod's entries in a library's final field (NoammAddons in OkHttp)
- Turning a mod off takes its modules out of OneConfig's HUD editor and its card off the mods page; turning it on brings them back
- Opening Hotwire from Mod Menu or OneConfig's mod list before Hotwire has started now opens Hotwire instead of the list again
- Mods that overwrite game methods dont get the whole class rebuilt when you turn them off anymore, so those offs are way faster
- If you make mods theres a dev folder now, turn on Developer in Advanced and have your build drop the jar into hotwire/dev in the game folder and the game picks it up without a relaunch
- You can turn off the update checks in the Advanced settings now, Hotwire then only checks when you press Check for updates
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
