Changes
Hotwire 0.6.0 Beta
- Updating got completely remade and it's way faster now! On a big pack 89 updates used to take almost 4 minutes with 24 going in right away and 20 failing. Now it takes about 1.5 minutes with 53 going in right away and 36 at your next start with 0 failures
- Most mods update with no restart now, even ones that couldn't go in live before
- Downloads got rewritten and now go as fast as your connection can, up to about 2.5x faster on the same line. They go straight to disk and dont combust if your connection drops and they get checked before they go in
- The Updates menu got redesigned! Libraries open like a dropdown under the mods that need them, and each row shows its versions and size + no more notifications for download bars :3
- You can watch updates come in! every row fills you up as its jar downloads :3 At the top you'll see the whole run's speed and time left
- Hotwire's screen keeps moving through switches & reloads and adds instead of just fucking freezing
- Adding a mod holds the game far less (even smoother Adds)
- Turning a mod off freezes the game way less in scenarios where it's a big pack, Gnetum went from 4 s to 1 s (1.21.1)
- Fixed worlds getting stuck on "Preparing spawn area" after turning off Async Logger - Thanks @tellinq
- Your temp files wont get cluttered with "Hotwire mixin copy" files anymore it'll just be one shared file between runs cleaned after a day.
- Updates that can't go in while you're in a world try again when you leave it
- There's a Settings button on mods now that opens their settings
- Fixed every keybind disappearing after turning off a mod that wraps the game's start
- Fixed particles crashing after turning off OverflowParticles or Particle Core with Polydium installed - Thanks @tellinq
- Fixed menus breaking and the server crashing after turning off CIT Resewn (1.21.1)
- Fixed Entity Culling still running after turning it off (26.3)
- Fixed PolyPlus's screen failing after turning off another mod (1.21.11)
- Fixed Resource Pack Options and LibJF asking for a restart when turned back on (26.2)
- Fixed mods still drawing on your HUD after turning them off if Gnetum had been turned off and on (1.21.1)
- Fixed uku's Armor HUD and ukulib still running after turning them off while the OneConfig HUD editor was open (26.3)
- Fixed Noxesium showing the "some of its code just ran" warning after turning it off (1.21.1)
- When a mod can't be downloaded because something it needs has no version for your game, it says which mod instead of a Modrinth ID
- The Advanced popup scrolls when it's taller than your screen
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
