2.0.0+bungeecord
Compatibility
Changes
⚠️ Before you update
2.0.0 changes the database. Stop every server that shares the database, update them all, then start them. On the first start the 1.x tables are renamed to judicator_* (with their rows) and players are identified by UUID everywhere; a 1.x server no longer finds the tables after that. The Upgrading to 2.0.0 section of the README lists every change to tables, commands and the API.
Judicator now runs on Velocity, BungeeCord, Spigot/Paper/Folia, Fabric, NeoForge and Forge: pick the version of your platform in this list.
🛠️ Changelog
🌐 Platforms
- New: BungeeCord, Spigot/Paper from 1.8.8 to the latest, Folia, Fabric, NeoForge and Forge (Minecraft 26.1+), and an experimental Hytale plugin (compiled against the server API, not yet run on a server).
- SQLite is the default database, no setup needed; MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL are still supported.
- Runtime libraries are downloaded from Maven Central and checked against a fixed SHA-256.
🖱️ Menus
/jmenu: everything the commands show, in menus: bans and mutes in force, reports, players online, a player's page with their history, warns, notes and linked accounts, and every action behind a confirmation.- Lists with order, filters and search.
- On Paper, players on 1.21.6+ get the game's own dialogs: reasons and notes typed in text fields instead of the chat, the way out always apart from the actions.
menus.replace-commands: the lookup commands open the menu for players.
🛡️ Moderation
- Player reports:
/reportand/reports(assign, close, teleport). - Server and group scopes for bans and mutes; cross-server sync and proxy mode for backends.
- Staff hierarchy, time limits per group, cooldowns.
- Silent and progressive punishments; preset reasons with their own menu icons.
/unban,/unmute,/extend,/changereason, staff rollback, staff notes,/playerinfo.- Soft mutes and mutes that only count online time; exemptions, IP limits and ban evasion checks.
- Data retention and per-player language.
/blame,/activity,/banlist,/mutelistand/judicator helpby category.- Import punishments from other ban plugins, from vanilla, or from another Judicator database (
/judicator import).
🌍 Languages
- Messages in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German; with
per-player-language: trueeach player gets their game's language.
🔌 Integrations
- PlaceholderAPI placeholders (Spigot/Paper), a public API with events, bStats metrics, Discord webhooks for reports.
⚠️ Known limitations
- Hytale is experimental.
- No
/jmenuon Fabric, NeoForge, Forge, Hytale or the proxies (Spigot/Paper/Folia only). - The API is not on a Maven repository yet: use the jar from the GitHub release.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
