Changes
1.3.0 [The Watcher]
It doesn't like being looked at.
Added
- The Watcher. Some nights, a Fragment appears far away in the dark, watching you.
Only you can see it.
- Don't look at it. Every second you spend looking at it counts, and it never forgets.
- Once it's noticed you, it will try to make you look. Fight it.
- Look away long enough and it gives up. For now.
- Look too long or hurt it and it comes for you. Angrier than a normal strike, and it will break through what's in its way.
- It learns. Each time you escape, it remembers how. The next one is ready for that.
- New Watcher tab in the config screen, plus all Watcher settings in
/horrormod config. - New Camera Pull toggle under Visuals. Also turns off automatically if Camera Shake is off.
- Operator commands:
/horrormod watcher summon [player],/horrormod watcher levels <player>,/horrormod watcher reset <player> [type].
Notes
- The Watcher is on by default. Server owners can turn it off, or turn off block breaking alone, in the Watcher config.
- Block breaking respects the
mobGriefinggamerule and claim/protection mods, never breaks chests or other storage, and can't break bedrock. - While a Watcher is out, normal spikes and false alarms pause.
- Client and server must both be on 1.3.0 mismatched versions are refused at login.
- Requires Forge 1.20.1 and GeckoLib 4.8.3.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
