Changes
Highlights
- Fixed several dedicated server crashes.
- Water, Flame and Demon techniques now have dedicated sound effects, with cues that follow the caster and line up better with each technique.
- First-person technique animations now work when Player Animator is installed, with client options for arm visibility.
- Combat Settings now brings skill slots, HUD mode, mouse wheel lock, and first-person animation options into one screen.
- The official wiki is now live at kimetsucraft.pages.dev.
Gameplay
- Stat progression is now smoother and more configurable. Server owners can tune each stat curve, and changes apply immediately to players and loaded NPCs.
- Demons have lower health, damage, and regeneration overall.
- Rengoku and Giyu were rebalanced to better fit the current progression.
- Flame Breathing received small damage increases on non-Rengoku techniques.
- Concentration now gives stronger stamina gains early and tapers near the stat cap.
- Water Wheel is more reliable, with one extra hit, a slightly later first hit, and improved movement/fall handling during startup.
- Slayer NPCs no longer damage Slayer players by default. Player-versus-player damage is unchanged.
Audio and VFX
- Added dedicated Water Breathing sounds for Water Surface Slash, Surging Current, Flowing Dance, Water Wheel, Drop Ripple Thrust, Whirlpool, Constant Flux, and Dead Calm.
- Added dedicated Flame Breathing sounds for Blazing Chain, Unknowing Fire, Ember Guard, Rising Scorching Sun, Blazing Universe, Blooming Undulation, Flame Tiger, and Rengoku.
- Rengoku now has charge, dragon spawn, rush, bite, and explosion audio cues for both players and NPCs.
- Added dedicated Demon technique sounds for Predator Leap, Frenzied Claws, Blood Area, and Blood Slash, with pitch that varies by demon variant.
- Removed placeholder sounds from Water and Flame techniques, including Ember Guard.
- Polished several Flame, Water, and Demon visual effects, including Water Wheel, Dead Calm, Flowing Dance, Surging Current, Flame Tiger, Rengoku, and Demon Bite.
- Fixed some visual effects that could fail to render in release builds.
Controls and UI
- Skill slots 1-8 are now configurable KimetsuCraft keybinds in Minecraft's Controls menu.
- Added Classic and Integrated combat HUD modes. Integrated mode can replace the vanilla hotbar while combat mode is active.
- Added an optional mouse wheel lock while combat mode is active.
- Added first-person animation preferences: enabled/disabled, right arm only, or both arms.
- Added a Wiki button to the Breath Overview screen, an unbound Open Wiki keybind, and a one-time welcome message with a wiki link.
- Improved GUI scaling across mod screens.
- Level-up notifications now use the action bar, and rank-up toasts now match the player's current breathing style.
World and Crafting
- Wisteria trees now use hand-authored structures instead of procedural generation, giving them more consistent shapes and reducing world generation cost.
- The Nichirin Forge recipe now uses
minecraft:gold_ingotas the center ingredient.
Fixes
- Fixed a startup crash when Player Animator is not installed.
- Fixed several dedicated server crashes.
- Fixed technique animations persisting after respawn.
- Fixed skill-slot key presses made outside combat mode triggering later when combat mode is enabled.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
