KurumaMod 1.9.0
Cars can now come in several colours, and wheels and tyres are separate parts you can mix freely. Car pack authors get a much easier time fitting wheels, tyres, seats and steering wheels to their models.
Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) and 1.21.1 (NeoForge).
Servers and clients both need 1.9.0. A 1.8.0 client cannot join a 1.9.0 server and vice versa.
Highlights
- Paints. Cars with more than one colour get a Paint tab in the parts screen. The Silvia S15 comes in six colours.
- Wheels and tyres are separate parts. Wheels are rims only and tyres are their own parts, so any tyre fits any wheel. The TE37 is remodelled with proper rim flanges, and the normal tyre has its own texture.
- Wide steering wheels turn too. F1-style steering wheels now turn with the steering, not just round ones.
Fixes
- Fixed a crash right after opening a world when an empty car bumped into another car.
- Fixed a crash when loading a car model whose OBJ file has an empty material line (as Blender sometimes writes).
Parts screen
- The first tile names the car's stock part, and the duplicate tile is gone.
Visuals
- The Silvia S15's tyres now fit its wheel arches. Its performance is unchanged.
Car packs
- Paints: list colour variants of the body texture under
paintsinvehicles/<car>.json. The first one is the factory colour. - Wheels: build a wheel as a rim only, inside the Blender gauge. The gauge is split into a wheel gauge and a tyre gauge, sized after the TE37. Wheel settings now live only in the wheel's JSON, and a car's stock wheel and tyre are set with
default_parts. - Tyres can be made as parts too, with their own model and texture.
- The defaults are the gauge sizes. A body built to the Blender gauge needs no size settings. To fit tyres to a body built to real-car proportions, set
wheel_radiusandtrack_widthin the spec. - The look debug screen (Ctrl+G) is reorganised by file (car JSON and wheel JSON). New: a page for the body's design size, the Blender gauge drawn over the car in cyan, dragging to look around, and Column and Centre rows for steering wheels whose axis can't be measured from their shape.
- The car pack guide gains a tyre page, wheel modelling steps and a chapter on fitting tyres to the body: https://kuruma.jdm-mc.com/guide.html
- Existing car packs, presets and saved cars keep working. Old wheel settings in a car's JSON are still read.
KurumaMod 1.9.0
default_partsで決めます。
wheel_radiusとtrack_widthを書きます。
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
