Changes
!lag 3.3.3 — optimization update (Minecraft 26.3)
Performance
- Render frame context: Player position, camera forward, and cull-related settings are sampled once per rendered frame and reused across distance culls, behind-camera skips, chunk LOD deferral, and entity render-state extract reuse.
- Visibility cache: Entity and block-entity sticky cull decisions use a primitive long→boolean map instead of boxed hash entries, reducing GC pressure when many entities share the same refresh bucket.
Compatibility
- Client-side only; no intentional visual changes.
- Does not include unreleased Sodium-beat, fog, or cloud experiments from other branches.
Testing
- Gradle unit tests and mixin target verification on Java 25; headless client smoke when
NOTLAG_SMOKE_TESTis set.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
