The King & The Queen - Legacy of Utopia 1.3
Bug Fixes: The Nether crash has been fixed, and the unregistered entity in Utopia, causing cascading world lag as of 1.2 throughout the dimension, has been solved.
Progression & Advancements: Added a full advancement system for Legacy of Utopia, introducing a structured progression path through Mobzilla, The Kraken, Utopia, the Unstable realm, Big Bertha, Mobzilla armor, Ultimate equipment, the Royal Guardian set, Queen Scale armor, The King, and The Queen.
Dimension Progression: Utopia is now locked behind defeating Mobzilla, while the Unstable realm is tied to defeating The Kraken. Locked-dimension travel is actively prevented, returning players to the Overworld if they attempt to enter a realm they have not yet earned access to.
Royal Towers: Added the new Royal Tower progression system, including persistent tower state, floor progression, locked gates, guardian spawners, treasure progression, completion tracking, and protection systems for the tower's bedrock and progression-critical areas.
The King & The Queen: Major expansion of the Royal boss systems, including persistent Royal Tree protection, improved player targeting, predictive projectile aiming, better combat boundaries, and additional persistent encounter state.
Royal Progression: Added dedicated advancement progression for the Royal Guardian and Queen Scale armor sets, along with new milestones for defeating The King and The Queen and obtaining their associated royal relics.
Boss Trophies: Added dedicated placeable King and Queen Trophy blocks.
Purple Power: Further expanded Purple Power targeting and distribution logic, allowing the swarm to search a much larger combat area, coordinate target assignments, perform visibility checks, and better distribute themselves between available targets.
Rendering & Stability: Modernized legacy OreSpawn entity models/rendering with Minecraft 1.12.2's GlStateManager, including improved rendering-state handling, transparent model depth protection, and cleanup of legacy OpenGL GL11 usage to prevent rendering-state leaks and visual corruption between entities.
Classic Machines & Monsters: Restored the Ant Robot, Spider Robot, Spider Driver, Attack Squid, Whale, Water Ball, and their associated spawning, rendering, animation, and gameplay systems. The dungeons in the Unstable dimension are now considerably more even in generation, and all dimensions have received further optimization.
Spider Robot: Restored the classic Spider Robot encounter with dedicated models, textures, sounds, mount audio, and associated Spider Driver content.
Classic Combat Arsenal: Added the Battle Axe, Attitude Adjuster, Squidzooka, Wrench, Queen's Battleaxe, and their associated crafting, models, textures, and rendering systems.
Classic Aquatic Life: Added dedicated aquatic spawning systems for oceans, rivers, and beaches, restoring additional classic water creatures and improving their environmental spawning behavior.
Burrowing & Spawning Systems: Restored the old burrowing behavior for the Worms, along with improved natural spawning safeguards that keep Large Worms on valid terrain surfaces instead of spawning inside structures or on top of buildings. Additionally, the encounters of mobs in the oceans, beaches, and rivers have been reworked to be more reliable.
Classic World Systems: Added Royal Tree cycling and persistent Royal structure state, allowing King and Queen structures to maintain their progression and world state across saves and reloads.
Item Rendering: Expanded classic 1.7-style item rendering support with new perspective handling, dedicated 2D/3D renderers for several restored weapons.
Item Glint Rendering: Added atlas-aware enchantment glint handling for the texture atlas, including dynamic glint scaling, atlas-size caching, and texture-stitch invalidation for more consistent classic enchanted-item rendering to maintain the smooth enchantment effect in large modpacks.
Advancement Crafting: Added custom advancement triggers for crafting progression, including dedicated tracking for Big Bertha and other progression-specific equipment.
Additional Content: Restored numerous classic OreSpawn items, weapons, entities, models, textures, recipes, sounds, and supporting systems that were not yet present in the 1.2 release.
Performance & Persistence: Added further caching, persistent world data, specialized progression handlers, tower-state tracking, and spawning safeguards to better support the substantially expanded Royal, aquatic, and classic-content systems.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
