The King and The Queen - Legacy of Utopia 1.2
The Warden: Major 1.19 backport pass. Added a much deeper vibration system, anger/threat tracking, sniffing, investigating, improved Sonic Boom behavior and Darkness effect, animation handling, persistence, and modernized AI behavior. Warden spawning now restricted to Overworld only.
Classic Dimensions: The Crystal and Chaos dimensions return, with their dedicated biomes, terrain generators, world features, structures, blocks, crops, and crafting content.
Crystal Furnace: Reworked the Crystal Furnace to cook items in 80 ticks (4 seconds), compared to the vanilla furnace's 200 ticks (10 seconds).
Legacy World Generation: Revived the classic 1.7-style generation for the Utopia, Mining, and Village dimensions, restoring much of the original terrain and population behavior.
Soul Rune: Completely reworked the backup system. The Rune now maintains persistent snapshots of inventory, XP, hotbar selection, and cursor contents, with substantially more reliable death, respawn, clone, logout, and edge-case recovery.
The King & The Queen: Major combat AI improvements, including better target validation, guard/home boundaries, multi-player volley targeting, predictive projectile aiming, and improved close-range pressure.
Purple Power: Improved targeting and player distribution, visibility checks, attack tracking, and lethal-hit handling. Purple Power attacks now integrate properly with the Soul Binding Rune's emergency recovery system. Purple Power no longer stays around once The Queen is defeated.
The Princes & Princess: Added shared royal-pet recovery logic for safer owner following, stuck-pet recovery, cross-dimension recovery, sitting behavior, state preservation, and more reliable combat/follow behavior.
The Ultimate King: The Adult Prince no longer grows on his own, and remains yours forever until you decide to give him a Queen Scale Block to evolve him into The Ultimate King.
Classic Wildlife: Restored a large roster of classic ambient and passive creatures, including Beavers, Chipmunks, Crickets, Dragonflies, Fairies, Rats, Ostriches, Peacocks, Hydroliscs, and many more.
Critter Cages: Added reusable Critter Cages for capturing and releasing non-boss creatures.
Zoo Cages: Restored the complete progressive Zoo Cage crafting chain, alongside the Zookeeper Shard, once again dropped by the Nightmare.
Hoverboard: Restored the classic Hoverboard with standing rider behavior, forward/reverse controls, automatic hovering, Space-bar speed boost, and independent vertical flight controls.
Classic Item Rendering: Added the 1.7-style enchantment glint to the 2D inventory models of Big Bertha and the Royal Guardian Sword.
Additional Content: Restored numerous classic crops, foods, Crystal materials, armor, tools, experience-tree content, and related world features.
Performance & Spawning: Added additional spawn safeguards for outdoor flying creatures, so they no longer spawn inside buildings and caves, and a Creeping Horror population cap in the Islands/Nightmare/Unstable dimension to prevent excessive mob buildup and further optimization of the dimension.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
