Beta 1.12.2
Release date: 2026-09-04
Stage: Beta
Summary: Fluids finally have somewhere sensible to live, and the Terminal no longer needs a lonely bucket slot hanging off the side.
Added
- Four Fluid Tank tiers: Glass (5 m³), Stone (15 m³), Iron (60 m³) and Diamond (180 m³).
- Fluid entries in the normal 9x7 Terminal grid, ordered before item entries and drawn with the native animated fluid texture.
- Compressed Cobblestone, Iron and Diamond for the tank upgrade chain.
Changed
- VSC Interface is now shown to players as RWB Interface, short for Read/Write Bus. Its internal ID stays unchanged so old worlds are safe.
- RWB Interfaces can connect Fluid Tanks as well as vanilla inventories.
- Organize, Re-organize and the four ghost slots moved one pixel up to match the new Terminal texture.
- Fluid capacity uses m³ only, with 1 m³ equal to one bucket.
- Right-clicking any grid slot with a filled bucket imports it; right-clicking a fluid entry with an empty bucket extracts it. Left-click stays out of the way.
Fixed
- Fluid imports reject mixed fluids and full networks with an actual useful message instead of silently doing nothing.
- Tank contents now save, sync and render inside the tank instead of accepting a bucket and then looking suspiciously empty.
- Jade now reports the real fluid, stored amount and tank capacity.
- Compressed Cobblestone, Iron and Diamond now texture all six faces and render as proper 3D block items.
- Cleaned the Glass Fluid Tank model to remove overlapping/broken faces.
- Fluid render geometry and its live interaction shape now match: Glass uses X/Z 4..12 and Y 2..14; the other tiers keep X/Z 1..15 and Y 0..14.
- Terminal fluid import now stores the fluid and imports the resulting empty bucket separately, while refusing to put filled buckets into digital storage.
- Compact quantity overlays no longer draw over neighboring tooltips.
Removed
- Nothing. Existing VSC blocks and multipart data keep their old internal IDs.
Known Issues
- The new tanks and grid-based bucket workflow still need a full in-game visual pass across every RWB face and GUI scale.
- Fluid Combiner is not part of this update.
Still beta
Keep in mind this is still beta. Fluids are very good at finding the one edge case nobody invited.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
