Summary
This update improves LoxyCraft’s infusion system with configurable infusion levels, a dedicated server config, and a reload command to adjust settings without restarting.
Fixed
- Fixed client tooltips so infusion levels are now displayed correctly
- Fixed config behavior to prevent infusion levels above V
- Fixed anvil behavior so unauthorized level upgrades are refused
- Fixed anvil behavior so a different core cannot be applied to an already infused item
Added
- Added an infusion level system for supported infusions
- Added support for upgrading an existing infusion in the anvil using the same Infusion Core
- Added infusion level support from I to V
- Added a configurable maximum level limit
- Added an internal hard cap at level V
- Added a dedicated config file:
config/LoxyCraft/loxycraft.json - Added the
itemUpgradesconfig section - Added support for fully disabling new item infusion and upgrade creation
- Added the
infusionLevelsconfig section - Added support for enabling or disabling level upgrades only
- Added a configurable XP cost for level upgrades
- Added the
/loxycraft reloadcommand
Changed
- Changed the following effects so they can now scale by level: Resistance, Speed, Jump Boost, Strength, Haste, and Luck
- Changed the following effects so they intentionally remain non-levelable: Night Vision, Water Breathing, Fire Resistance, Slow Falling, and Unbreakable
- Changed Unbreakable infusion so it remains separate from the level system
- Changed Unbreakable infusion so it remains stackable with one effect infusion
Improved
- Improved supported infusions so they can now progress beyond level I
- Improved server-side control over infusion levels
- Improved admin control by allowing infusion levels to be capped as needed
- Improved admin flexibility by allowing item upgrades to be disabled without removing already infused items
- Improved config workflow with
/loxycraft reload, allowing config changes without restarting the game or server - Improved tooltips so compatible infused items now display their level
- Improved existing infused item behavior so they automatically respect the configured max level
- Improved level cap enforcement so lowering the max level also limits the effects to the new allowed maximum
- Improved fallback behavior so existing infused items are treated as level I when levels are disabled
Notes
itemUpgrades.enabled = falseblocks creation of new infusions and anvil upgrades- Already infused items are not removed when upgrades are disabled
infusionLevels.enabled = falseblocks only level upgrades- A base infusion remains possible if
itemUpgrades.enabled = true maxLevelcannot be higher than 5- Non-useful levels such as Night Vision V or Fire Resistance V are intentionally refused
- A future update may add an infusion reset / removal system
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
