Summary
This update greatly expands LoxyCraft’s compressed block system with new families useful for storage, advanced crafting, and late-game progression.
Fixed
- Fixed compressed Prismarine block textures
- Fixed compressed Prismarine rendering by using only the first 16x16 frame of the vanilla animated Prismarine texture before applying the compression layer
- Fixed the visual issue that caused an odd double-color effect on compressed Prismarine
Added
- Added compressed Nether Star Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Ender Pearl Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Blaze Rod Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Echo Shard Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Obsidian Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Amethyst Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Prismarine Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Dark Prismarine Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Blue Ice Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compressed Bamboo Blocks from x1 to x9
- Added compression recipes for all new block families
- Added reverse decompression recipes for all new block families
- Added loot tables so all new blocks drop correctly
- Added models, blockstates, FR / EN translations, and textures for all new blocks
- Added the new blocks to the LoxyCraft creative tab
Improved
- Improved premium material progression by giving Nether Star, Ender Pearl, Blaze Rod, and Echo Shard blocks a full compression path up to x9
- Improved storage options for useful modpack resources with new compressed block families
- Improved support for future advanced crafting by making these compressed blocks available as cleaner base materials
- Improved tool requirements by assigning appropriate mining tools depending on the block family
Notes
- Compressed blocks from x1 to x9 use the standard compression logic: 9 blocks of the previous level create the next level
- Each level can be decompressed back into 9 blocks of the previous level
- No other compressed block families are currently planned to avoid bloating the mod unnecessarily
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
